Good web design

What is web design?
A website is the end result of a web design. The website is located on a web server where electronic files are stored. The website presents the content and interactive features or interfaces to the end user in the form of web pages. How the requested information is displayed to the user is part of the web design process. Additional controls are incorporated to display more complex media such as animations, sounds and other shapes.

What's new? The clouds of the course!
Everybody wants something new from time to time, and yet some need a totally different solution. In the Internet arena, it's a fairly common occurrence with the many innovations that are always coming up and with all of them, none can be as exciting as the move to the clouds.

The open design community: free CSS templates!
If you are the majority of people who don't know CSS and don't have time or don't care how to make one for your blog, then the next action for you would be to find a place where you can download one for free. Thank God there are many sites out there that give them away for free. The only problem is that since you were not the one who created it, it will be subject to your designs and whims.

One of the sites that offer free CSS for great web designs is The Open Design Community (TODC). Open Design Community is a hub for open source website designers around the world offering thousands of free XHTML and CSS based web design Singapore templates available for download. So feel free to take a minute or two and browse the designs our fabulous designers have submitted and see if one can work for you. And remember that they are free!
Bad web design
Here are some features that can really spoil the overall concept of your web design. It is important to keep in mind the most common mistakes that web designers make. You may be able to use some ideas to create an effective web design that can be simple but can invoke your projected image. Backgrounds that are gray by default present so many problems, especially with page readability. Avoid color combinations that can make characters unreadable. Backgrounds are mainly effective when left plain and does not interfere with reading. Texts must be legible. Avoid small characters. Keep links blue as much as possible because ordinary users are already used to color.

DIY web design
Do it yourself design projects are proliferating on the internet these days. There are several websites that practically teach you what to do without hiring a web designer. Do-it-yourself website design applies perfectly to young professionals who are just beginning to learn things in business or are trying to reformat the existing business they are managing. The DIY website design gives you complete control over the project and the site, that's why it's simply gaining popularity. It takes the work out of dealing with consultants, designers, landscape contractors, and the like. In DIY design, your ideas will surely be heard and much attention will be paid. You have the opportunity to express your style and personality. Because at the end of the day, it will continue to be your website, selling your products. This has solved constant problems with web designers who are really passionate about their work and who at some point may become too sensitive to a small correction or observation of their work. Do it yourself, web design is sure to save you money, time and energy.
