Dust busters - make cleaning a breeze

Spring cleaning is a "must", so it's always good to have a few shortcuts to clean up a little faster and get back to the sewing room. Cleaning and cleaning dust will no longer be a difficult task if you have a variety of "dust destroyers" available to help you with cleaning.

Take an old, no longer used terry towel and cut a strip the length of the towel and 2 1/2 inches wide. Sew the strip with 1/4 "seams and twist it to the right side. This strip slides easily onto a measuring stick, which can be used to slide under the refrigerator, washer and dryer for quick cleanup. The strip can be thrown in the washing machine to clean and save for next time.

That same old towel can be cut into the shape of your mop, then add about 4 inches everywhere. Turn under a hem and stretch through it. Slide the plush "cover" over the mop and use it to remove spider webs from corners of the garage or to reach hard-to-reach areas. And, as before, when you're done, throw the lid in the washer to clean it next time.

For a "feather duster" sew two old hand towels on three sides, leaving one end open. Sew the elastic around the open end (the elastic of the discarded panty is almost the correct size). This cover will slide on a broom for use in hard-to-reach places. Once again when I'm done
just throw it in the washer and dryer to clean it up next time.

By doing a full house car vacuum cordless, it's easier to do a job around the house, like cleaning the fans in each room at the same time. You can then dust and polish furniture throughout the home, etc. When dealing with "item-by-item" cleaning, the only cleaning supplies needed are those for that particular job, rather than carrying all the cleaning supplies around the house and dragging them from room to room.
