Internet Marketing and Business Models

Most people in the world of internet marketing, especially those who sell their own products, will tell you that they use a "connect the dots" business model, similar to the one McDonalds subscribes to.

The idea is that if you can follow this simple step system, then you should be able to achieve results that are consistent and predictable, just like the McDonalds franchise.

Unfortunately, most of the time, this is anything but the case. Here are some of the reasons why this line of thinking is not always true:
1. Not all instructions you receive are created equal to others. Let's say you were instructed to write an article, whether you can provide enough detail in your articles, including its grammar, keyword density, all of which will impact the effectiveness of the article that will differ from person to person.

2. Things that worked today may not necessarily work and business tomorrow. Even if the entire system works and the instructions you subscribe to are accurate and detailed enough to replicate these same results, the system you are using may be out of date within a year or even a month, depending on your luck. The world of internet marketing is always on the move, so you should always be one step ahead.

The main purpose of this article was not to discredit any of the turnkey systems. My goal is to tell people that they are responsible for their own results and that, in most cases, the system that is considered proven will take a lot of time and effort to run effectively.
